How to Turn on 2FA for Google
With 2-Step Verification (also known as two-factor authentication), you add an extra layer of security to your account. After you set it up, you’ll sign in to your account in two steps using:
Something you know (your password)
Something you have (like your phone or a security key dongle)
Before you set up GoTrust ID as the security key, we recommend setting up text message (SMS) codes as a backup first.
Set up 2-Step Verification
Log in to your Google Account.
On the left navigation panel, click Security.
On the Signing in to Google panel, click 2-Step Verification.
Click GET STARTED.
Follow the steps on the screen.
5-1. To continue first, verify it’s you and click Next.
5-2. Set up your phone by entering your phone number. And then choose the way to get verification codes, text message or phone call. Click NEXT.
5-3. Enter the verification code you received from the text message, and click NEXT.
5-4. Setup has completed. Now click TURN ON to start using 2-Step Verification.
Paired with GoTrust ID - Security Key
Scroll down to Security Key and click ADD SECURITY KEY.
Make sure your mobile phone is with you and click NEXT.
Make sure your mobile phone’s Bluetooth already turns on, GoTrust ID app will be triggered automatically in seconds. Then verify your fingerprint on your mobile phone.
Paired successfully! You can name the security key according to your preference and click DONE.

On your computer, sign in to Google.
Notice: Make sure your mobile phone's Bluetooth already turns on, GoTrust ID will be triggered automatically.
Verify your fingerprint on your mobile phone.
